Raised near the sea, Andres, growing up in Spain, developed a deep love for sailing, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, and windsurfing from a young age.
With extensive experience in the water sports industry, Andres has worked globally, sharing his expertise in destinations such as Germany, the Canary Islands, New Zealand, South Africa, the Caribbean, and French Polynesia.
When not working as a captain on ZEN QUEST you will find him teaching paragliding in the Swiss Alps. As a highly experienced captain, Andres has clocked countless miles at sea, honing his skills and accumulating valuable knowledge.

Born and raised on Maui, Hawaii, Maya brings a calm, uplifting energy and a passion for wellness to the crew.
She is a licensed esthetician and massage therapist with a deep love for yoga, the ocean, and travel.
When she’s not working, you’ll find her surfing, diving, or hiking—always staying active and connected to nature. Her warm spirit, positive attitude, and radiant smile make her a guest favorite and a joy to have on board.

This crew kicked ass!! Bart – 10/10 ! The most skilled seaman I have ever had the pleasure of sailing with. And Dagmar…just her name makes my mouth water. Do not eat ashore ! Dagmar’s kitchen will beat any restaurant hands down. She’s also a nurse in case you’re feeling blue. What a gem she is !! And sweet Maya – always a beautiful smile & positive energy. I thought I knew what hospitality was, but Dagmar, Bart & Maya have truly set a new standard.
Firstly, everything was already considered and done before we needed to ask…
Second, any request was instantly supported. So great to be with the proud Captain- owners of the ZEN QUEST who went above and beyond everyday to make this the best run trip I have ever been on by a long stretch.
From a tiny kitchen we ate like kings from Dagmar’s creative and balanced menu…
Our foiling progress was patiently supported every day with new challenges under Bart’s experienced and watchful eyes.
Maya was a constant sunny and kind first mate, always at hands with a smile 😊

Spectacular trip on Zen Quest -
Excellent service!
We had a spectacular experience sailing around Bora Bora on Zen Quest with two other couples.
The catamaran was spacious and beautiful, and the views were simply unforgettable.
Captain Bart, Dagmar, and Anna provided excellent service - warm, professional, and attentive.
Snorkeling with sharks and colorful fish was a highlight, and we enjoyed delicious gourmet meals every day.
Peaceful sunsets, crystal-clear lagoons, and perfect company made it all unforgettable.
Highly recommended for a luxurious and unique Bora Bora adventure!

“I have visited and stayed in beautiful accommodations across the world over many years of travels and I consider my time with the crew in French Polynesia as easily in my top three favorite all time vacations. I jokingly coined the term "Post-Travel-Depression" (PTD) to express the sadness of a wonderful trip ending. After this trip I experienced the longest PTD yet. Dagmar and Bart had an incredible way of making me feel at home, as part of the family while also spoiling us with deliciously nourishing food. It was a beautiful balance of the comfort of being home while experiencing the benefits of a perfect vacation (fun, adventure, amazing foods and drinks, constantly surrounded by jaw-dropping scenery). When deciding to go on this trip, I admittedly was hesitant to spend my 30th birthday on a boat with strangers when I don't touch adrenaline sports like kitesurfing and wing. But I couldn't have imagined a better birthday and the days surrounding it. I have no doubt embarking on this journey with this crew will also give you some PTD, but it will be worth it!”

The boat is kept clean and very well maintained. They do a great job of planning the itinerary to see beautiful parts of the countries they visit. Including seeing the sea life and local culture. For many of us guests the draw is the access to the remote, beautiful areas of the world to play on the water. The wide variety of gear stocked on the boat makes this easy.
