Known for his deep local knowledge of the Caribbean, Bahamas, Florida Keys, and coastlines, Captain Spence is dedicated to creating extraordinary experiences—whether it's diving with sharks, enjoying a private beach picnic, or unwinding with a sunset in a secluded cove. Erica, a native of North Carolina, greets each guest with warm Southern hospitality. After earning her Bachelor’s in Mass Communications, she worked in hospitality in Wrightsville Beach, NC, where she met Captain Spence, sparking her love for the yachting world. With five years of full-time experience on yachts, Erica brings a blend of high-level service, bar management, and a dedication to guest satisfaction that ensures every charter is smooth and memorable.

Chef: Henrico Oliver

Henrico, from the scenic town of Gordon’s Bay near Cape Town, South Africa, brings a global culinary flair to CHANSON. His formal training in culinary arts began in 2010, followed by a stint at the esteemed French fine dining restaurant Waterkloof, where he honed his craft. With a decade of experience as an executive chef in the U.S., Henrico’s dishes are influenced by his travels and diverse culinary inspirations. Now on board, he’s eager to create unforgettable dining experiences. And here’s a fun fact: Henrico is a Tetris master!

Bosun: George Tamayo

Hailing from Long Island, New York, George has always had a strong connection to the water. Originally pursuing a career in sports management, his passion for hospitality and estate management inspired him to transition into the dynamic world of yachting. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to top-tier service, George is dedicated to ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional time aboard CHANSON.

Stewardess: Janette Ruman

Janette, originally from Poland and Ukraine, has spent the past few years in Spain, where her proximity to the sea sparked a deep passion for yachting. With extensive experience in the hospitality industry both ashore and onboard, Janette is committed to providing guests with attentive, professional care, always delivered with a warm and welcoming smile.

Beyond her role on the yacht, Janette has a keen interest in psychology, health, and wellness. During her time off, she loves staying active, whether it’s paddle boarding, beach outings, or exploring new ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Lead Deck Dog: Reef Gallagher

Reef, the lovable Mini Australian Shepherd, is CHANSON’s loyal and dedicated Lead Deck Dog. Tasked with keeping the deck secure, he brings unmatched charm and enthusiasm to the crew. Reef loves to meet new friends, chase his favorite ball, run along the beach, and, of course, swim! He’s always ready to greet guests with his signature wiggles and provide a week full of puppy affection.

Engineer: Fish Corertes

Originally from South Africa, Fish brings over 20 years of hands-on experience to the Chanson team. A seasoned engineer and passionate angler, Fish’s expertise is rooted in his extensive time aboard charter yachts, where he has mastered the unique engineering challenges that come with life at sea. His dedication to safety, combined with his deep knowledge of yacht systems, ensures smooth sailing and peace of mind for all aboard.
