Master of Yachts 200 GT | Bahamian Licensed Captain Captain Julian Nixon Jr. is a certified mariner from The Bahamas with more than fifteen years of experience navigating the turquoise waters of The Bahamas, Florida, and the U.S. East Coast. Holding a Master of Yachts 200 GT license and a Nassau Port Authority 200-ton A License, he brings a wealth of knowledge in vessel operations, navigation, and guest management. His background includes extensive time aboard motor yachts between 65 and 112 feet, as well as sailing and power catamarans ranging from 40 to 62 feet. Known for his calm command and hands on expertise, Captain Nixon specializes in luxury charters and vessel deliveries throughout the Exumas, Abacos, and the wider Bahamian archipelago. A certified PADI Advanced Rescue Diver and licensed Fly Fishing Guide, he seamlessly blends safety and adventure crafting personalized itineraries that highlight the best of island life he has known since birth, from sandbar picnics to snorkeling, diving, and water sport excursions. CHEF: Mickael St. Maartin
Chef Mickael St. Martin’s culinary journey began humbly at the age of 15, washing dishes in a busy kitchen. His determination and passion for the culinary arts propelled him forward, earning him the opportunity to work in some of Montreal’s most prestigious gastronomic restaurants, where he specialized in French cuisine. Under the mentorship of renowned chefs, Mickael refined his craft, mastering the art of blending tradition with innovation. With an adventurous spirit and a love for travel, Mickael embraced the role of a private chef, sharing his talents with clients around the world. He finds joy in discovering and incorporating global flavors into his creations, crafting dishes that are both unique and unforgettable. By combining his deep appreciation for French culinary traditions with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, Mickael delivers exceptional dining experiences that celebrate creativity and authenticity. In addition to his culinary pursuits, Mickael is a passionate blues musician. Staying true to his modest roots, he believes in the universal power of food and music to bring people together. Born and raised in Montreal, Léa grew up in a family deeply rooted in the yachting world, shaping her early passion for the industry. After high school, she jumped straight into yachting, a decision she calls the best she’s ever made. Léa loves the dynamic nature of life at sea, where travel, teamwork, and creating unforgettable guest experiences come together. Working with people from diverse cultures, exploring beautiful destinations, and being surrounded by the open water are the parts of the job she finds most rewarding. As a proud member of the FREEDOME charter program, Léa helps deliver a blend of luxury, comfort, and personalized service. Alongside a dedicated crew, she ensures each journey reflects the guest’s vision, making every moment on board truly memorable. With her passion and commitment, Léa is devoted to turning each guest’s dream experience into reality.
DECK/STEWARDESS: Malory Filion
Energetic and adaptable, Malory brings a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail to every yacht she joins. With experience on vessels up to 150 feet, she has contributed to both private and charter programs. Her dual skillset on deck and in the interior allows her to support seamless guest service while maintaining high presentation standards. Malory is fluent in English and French and known for her positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork. Her background as a police emergency dispatcher has honed her calm under pressure and clear communication, qualities she applies daily onboard. Active and outdoorsminded, she enjoys diving, wakeboarding, yoga, and photography, always bringing enthusiasm and initiative to the crew environment.
ENGINEER/MATE: Edson Acevedo
With over a decade of marine engineering experience, Edson brings a strong technical background and a calm, methodical approach to every yacht he serves on. Holding a Marine Engineering degree from the Nautical School of Tampico, he has worked aboard various charter yachts. Before entering yachting, Edson spent several years in the offshore sector on dynamic positioning (DP2) vessels, gaining extensive hands-on experience with diesel propulsion, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Known for his diligence and problem-solving ability, he takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient engine room operations and ensuring minimal downtime. Edson is fluent in Spanish with intermediate English, and is described by captains and engineers who’ve worked alongside him as reliable, organized, and a strong team player.
