Jean-Marc has been at sea almost all his life, starting at a young age of 5 when his father built him his first optimist. He then never stopped sailing and racing sailing boats. He learned sailing in Africa and around St Malo his home town in Brittany, Northern France.In 2001, Jean-Marc left the sailing world to join the large Motor Yacht industry, bringing his respect of the sea into the new chapter of his career. Having started his charter yacht experience in 1996, Jean-Marc will pass on his superb knowledge of the Mediterranean and Caribbean waters to the guests. He is a great host and will be satisfied only when you are happy with the service his yacht and crew deliver.Jean-Marc welcomes you on Board St. David for an unbelievable trip with his magnificent crew.
Bartek grew up in Poland where his love for the sea developed into a career within
the maritime industry. He has worked for 10 years on sailing yachts before moving to motor yachts. Bar tek has travelled extensively around the word on sailing yachts. He is very passionate about water sports, especially jet skis and paddle boards. He also has a diving license and loves to dive.
Tim has been brought up with yachts from an early age and been working in yachting since making a career of this after his education. He has an excellent technical understanding of the industry and has been a captain on board a wide range of motor yachts for over 18 years. Tim will pass on his superb knowledge of the Mediterranean coastline and Caribbean waters to the guests and ensure your journey is relaxed and unforgettable.
Alistair has been in the luxury super yacht industry for over 9 years working up through the ranks and working on some of the most high profile and luxurious private and charter vessels. When he was a child, his dad owned a sailing boat which contributed to his passion of being at sea. He is always aiming to provide an exceptional and safe experience for all the guests.
Chef Anton started his culinary career in the UK, where he was trained in a Michelin star restaurant. He gained experience in various high-end sectors of the culinary industry and achieved many awards during his career. Anton took his culinary passion to the seas in 2015 and worked on various yachts including two years experience CHEF onboard M/Y Highlander 50m, or various yachts such as M/Y Lioness V 63m, M/Y Dilbar 115m, M/Y Mary Jean II 64m, and M/Y Hermitage 68m.
Gemma’s bubbly personality and outgoing nature came to use from a young age
working in bars, high end restaurants and clubs. She studied childcare, specializing in children with special needs and worked in preschools and nurseries around the world including 6 months experience in Peru. After seven years in the yachting industry, she has gained extensive experience on board both private and charter yachts. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, paddle boarding and live music.
Samantha grew up in Edinburgh. Her infectious smile and larger than life personality shines through her work. She studied Events Management at college, then worked at an award winning cocktail bar, Treacle. Joining the industry in 2013, Samantha has travelled all over on busy charter vessels, winning many awards such as ‘Best cocktail’ and ‘Best table themed setting’ in different boat shows. She also loves animals and has a little French Bulldog named Hugo.
Vanya grew up in a large family in coastal town in New Zealand, where she spent a lot of time near the ocean. She enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, running, yoga and water sports. She is also qualified make up artist and our fitness master onboard, who enjoys socializing. Vanya would be more than happy to share her passion for sports with guests and organize a morning yoga or boot camp workout!
Our fantastic onboard masseuse Genovaite has gained her extensive 15 years experience as a professional physiotherapist from all over the world and she will be delighted to welcome guests in the dedicated SPA room onboard ST DAVID. She has been in the yachting industry since 2005 and will make it clear that there is no task too big for her to accomplish. She also happens to be a qualified nurse and worked in a hospital for 12 years.
Nadia was born and raised in South Africa, where she grew up in the hospitality industry, since her family owns a hotel back home. She very much enjoys service and this naturally lead her to yachting. Nadia is also a qualified chef and has her own floral and wedding cake business together with her sister. She loves animals and would like to travel the world for leisure one day!
Growing up on the sunny coast of South Africa, the ocean was never far. Jana’s love
for entertaining, beautiful destinations and people made yachting the perfect career choice. Jana used to work in the South JANA African vineyards before entering yachting and wine is still her passion, so she would be more than happy to guide our guests with their wine selection. In her free time, Jana loves cooking, jogging, or traveling with Mozambique being her favorite destination.
Kyle comes from Port Elizabeth, a small city off the east coast of South Africa, close to a
famous surfing town, Jeffrey's Bay. Finishing his studies in Marketing & Sales in 2010, he backpacked through Australia. His desire to travel and love for the ocean brought him to the yachting industry in 2012, which quickly became his new founded passion and love. Kyle is well trained in all sorts of water sports activities and he is your go to guy for sea bobs, wake boards, jet ski’s, tubing, paddle boarding or kayaking.
Michael-John comes from a small town by the name of Port Alfred, in South Africa. He grew up surfing his home break and wake-boarding South Africans amazing rivers and has always had a passion for water and the ocean. He spent five years after school getting a qualification in the electrical trade and is now lead deckhand on board ST DAVID.
Pierre is from Somerset West, South Africa. This enthusiastic individual fell in love with
the sea at a young age, and have always been intrigued and passionate about the ocean and everything about it. He enjoys all ocean adventures, from surfing and sailing above the water to diving below. Pierre is happy to share his passion and new memorable sea adventures with the guests on board.
Originally from Zadar, where he lives with his wife and 3 children, Tony studied marine
engineering and in 2003 was working as a marine engineer apprentice on the oil tankers. He received his officers ticket in TONY 2005 and changed from tankers, containers to cruise ships. After admiring superyachts in the port one day, Tony decided to get into yachting in 2011. Loving anything with an engine, Tony’s hobbies include motorsports and being behind the wheel.
Born and raised in Bulgaria, Daniel decided his future profession at the age of six, when his father brought him to work to show him what he did for a living. After studying as a ship designer in high school, he graduated as a marine engineer at the “Nikola Vaptsarov” naval academy. He started his career on cargo vessels and joined ST DAVID as a new challenge in 2018. With a strong work ethic and loyalty, Daniel ensures the guests derive the greatest satisfaction from their charter.
Awarded ‘Best Charter Yacht’ by Robb Report in 2009, she is innovatively styled both inside and out and showcases a study of artisanship in every respect. Her opulent interior sleeps up to 12 guests in six impressive staterooms including a magnificent master suite, one VIP staterooms and four doubles. Split over two levels, the master suite features a sumptuous lounge area with bathroom with a raised bedroom for the ultimate in privacy and luxury. With panoramic views and beautiful staircase she offers a truly unique charter experience.
Throughout her interior living spaces intricate craftsmanship is finished to the highest standards, evident in her beautiful mosaic floors, sculptured tables that rise and fall, detailed marquetry and magnificent sweeping spiral staircase. The Baroque style architecture and Italian Riviera style creates a lavish atmosphere on board whilst a floating staircase which spans 3 decks is topped by a skylight and peeks into the bottom of the sun-deck pool to add an element of design pedigree and interest.
Outside, her decks are equally impressive with her sundeck offering shaded areas for comfortable relaxation, a large pool, and a huge entertainment area. Her experienced owner endeavoured to build a superyacht that would cater to all ages and vacation types. From watching movies under the stars at the outdoor cinema and trying out all manner of watersports to partying the night away with friends in her private nightclub, St. David offers a charter experience like no other.
