Captain: Mike Kiernan

An accomplished mariner with over 3,600 days of sea time, this experienced Master has commanded a wide range of vessels—including cruise ships, yachts, excursion boats, and workboats—delivering exceptional results for owners through outstanding passenger experiences and effective crew leadership. Holding both a 3000 Ton Master License (STCW II/2, Dominica) and a 150 Ton USCG Master License with towing and sail endorsements, he is well-versed in diverse propulsion systems and navigational environments. His extensive operational background spans from the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico to the Great Lakes, East Coast, and Rhine River. Vessel command highlights include the 102' M/Y Banyan, 100' M/Y Alchemist, and the 185’ small cruise ships Grande Caribe and Grande Mariner, where he was responsible for full ship operations and navigational duties. Additional experience includes offshore support vessels, high-performance jet boats, themed excursion vessels, and sailing charters, showcasing a versatile and proven career in marine operations and guest service.

Engineer: Edison "Sonny" Parker

Edison Parker Jr., a native of Key West, has long been connected to the sea, shaped by early experiences with multigenerational fishermen that fostered strong seamanship skills and self-reliance. After relocating from the Keys to raise a family, he deepened his commitment to the maritime industry, steadily gaining experience on prestigious vessels while pursuing advanced credentials. A UCF biology graduate and Eagle Scout, Edison holds a 100-ton Master's Credential and various maritime certifications. His roles aboard world-class yachts—from Mate to Engineer—have included refits, system maintenance, navigation, and guest engagement, all underpinned by a passion for continuous learning and excellence in marine operations.

Built by Burger Yachts in 1966, SOVEREIGN is a completely restored and updated classic motor yacht with all the amenities of a modern yacht. SOVEREIGN has been continuously well maintained & upgraded with her most recent refit in 2019. With an interior described as "Palm Beach chic" she is outfitted with a beautiful collection of mid-century modern antique furnishings - a collaboration between Ellen Kavanaugh Interiors and Dana Andrews at American custom cabinetry.

SOVEREIGN's saloon features a large lounge area with comfortable seating and an entertainment center, including a large television screen, while forward is a formal dining area with seating for up to eight guests.

SOVEREIGN's aft deck features built-in upholstered seating and a twin pedestal large varnished teak table, lending a gracious air to al fresco entertaining and dining. Up on the boat deck is more outdoor relaxation space, with or without shade.Dedicated sun lovers can be found sunbathing on her fore deck, offering complete privacy at sea and when moored in port.
