David was practically born and raised on sailing yachts since the age of four and had logged over 200 000 nautical miles before deciding to join the industry as a professional. He has been a captain on many well known sailing yachts since the age of 23 and has a vast knowledge of sailing and cruising destinations throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean, United Kingdom and the East coat of the US and Canada
Ed began sailing as a young boy in the temperamental airs of the disused quarry pits of southern England. After a youth filled with recreational and competitive sailing and various other aquatic pursuits he went off to study mechanical engineering. Finally deciding to follow his passion for yachting and the ocean by forging a career
To date Ed has held various positions on many yachts from first mate on a 50m luxury sailing ketch to spending last season racing and maintaining an 11m foiling race yacht.
Ed looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm and expertise in yachting with you as another adventure begins aboard Dark Shadow.
William has been working on board boats now for three years,
prior to his time on Dark Shadow he worked as an RYA Cruising
Instructor in Falmouth, Cornwall. During his time working on the water William has
managed to amass 30,000+ sea miles cruising around a variety of areas such as; the
Mediterranean, Baltic, Atlantic and all around the UK and northern France. William
speaks English and Spanish fluently and has a basic understanding of Portuguese.
Having previously worked in nice restaurants and beach clubs in Spain William likes
to maintain a high level of customer service.

• RYA radar and RYA Diesel Engine
Crystal began sailing dinghies at the age of eight and cooking with her Nana since
before she can remember. After university she realized that with the proper courses she
could combine the two and thus began her career in the large yacht world. She speaks
English and basic Spanish. Over the last 8 years, she has clocked more than 100,000
nautical miles (including 2 Atlantic crossings) on sail yachts from 15 to 53 metres.

Training – PADI, Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate Level 2,
• Newport Cooks courses, Galley club cookery school courses in Palma, silver service
training as well as workshops throughout various countries visited.
Education: University for 6 years holding degrees in graphic design, psychology and
DARK SHADOW can accommodate 6 guests in 3 cabins. The Master cabin has a queen size bed, shower and toilet. 2 Guest cabins have 2 twin beds, shower and toilet. DARK SHADOW is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate heads and shower.
