The McConaghy 75 JACK is lightweight, eco-friendly, and performs with an effortless grace even in light winds – she is estimated to reach 21 knots of speed in 20 knots of wind. This McConaghy Multihull, thanks to her 9.3m beam and talented interior designer, has an “apartment-like” open-plan interior. JACK boasts a huge saloon lounge with a dining area and walk-around bar, a spacious aft deck with sofas and al fresco dining space, cushioned sun pads forward of the superstructure.

In the interior, JACK boasts 4 Double cabins facing outboard with large seaview window and ensuite heads. Beds can be split into 2 singles by a central divider. All cabins have separate air conditioning for comfort.

With over 30 years in the marine industry, Morgan is an experienced commercial master, charter fleet manager and instructor with exceptional business management, interpersonal skills and sound technical knowledge of yacht systems and maintenance. He has most recently been involved in commissioning and helming two large private catamarans for circumnavigations. He has captained on prestigious yachts such as the lagoon 620 SECOND WAVE, Victoria 67 ARABELLA, Trimaran NEEL 51, and Aicon 86 JAYA. His other experience includes providing luxury boat owners a high level of service and vessel management as the owner of his own company, as well as operating new yacht charter base destinations in South East Asia.

Job Description

Morgan is responsible for navigation, safety and the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew, and guests. He always ensures the safe and efficient operation of JACK, including compliance with all procedures and regulations that keep our guests safe. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He further encourages teamwork, individual growth, and personal attention in delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks.

Describing himself as dynamic, adaptable and friendly, he has a background in teaching water-sports and lifeguarding that makes him an excellent deckhand for JACK.

Ben has the expertise required to stand in for the captain in his absence, acting in an important role for deckhand duties. He assists the captain during navigation and participates in all on-deck operations, respecting guests’ activities. He has extensive knowledge in the maintenance of sailing yachts and is responsible for the running of deck equipment and machinery.

Ruby is responsible for organisation, management, and cleanliness of all interiors. She maintains an accurate inventory of all service items and supplies. She ensures cleaning and preparation of the vessel to the highest standards prior to all guest trips. She is in charge of vessel provisioning for both guests and crew, and all aspects of daily life. When guests are onboard, she ensures they are properly cared for and that all their requirements are met. She offers particular attention to details and a polite and entertaining spirit.

Following her experience in a professional kitchen she began working as a private chef, where she has catered events for up to 60 people, providing canapés, 3 course dinners, as well as wedding and birthday cakes. With her qualifications in Nutrition she is skilful in providing nutritionally balanced meals and catering to diverse dietary requirements and intolerances. Not only does Julia possess compelling culinary skills, she is also proficient in a marine environment. Having grown up sailing, she is seasoned on deck, confident in the galley under sail and has a passion for open water swimming, scuba diving and water-skiing.

Job Description

As the Chef, Julia is responsible for the crew and guest meals throughout the charter, ensuring that the food is enjoyable, the interior of the yacht is clean and serviceable and that all dietary requirements are met. She is a creative cook, varying her meals to provide variety and according to the location of JACK, to have as much relevance as possible to the region being visited.
