Fernando has extensive experience on both sailing and motor yachts, having held positions as Captain, Relief Captain, First Mate and Bosun on yachts up to 40m. His background includes high-performance carbon-fibre sailing yachts, Atlantic crossings, regattas, private and charter programmes, as well as complex technical refits and shipyard periods. Having worked closely with owners, professional racing crews and shipyards, he has developed strong technical, organisational and leadership skills throughout his career.
Job Description
As Captain, Fernando is responsible for the overall management and operation of the yacht, including navigation, safety, maintenance planning, budgeting and crew coordination. He also oversees guest experience onboard, itinerary planning and communication with owners and contractors, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of service at all times.

First Mate: Leonardo Furtado

Sail and Work Experience
Leonardo has over 7 years of experience on both sailing and motor yachts in the Mediterranean, working in private and charter operations. As First Mate, he has developed strong skills in navigation, watchkeeping, deck operations, maintenance and shipyard projects. His experience includes long Mediterranean passages, sailing events such as the Swan Cup in Porto Cervo, as well as hands-on technical and engineering assistance onboard. Reliable and proactive, he is known for his strong teamwork and adaptable attitude.
Job Description
As First Mate, Leonardo is responsible for supporting the captain in the daily operation of the yacht, including navigation, watchkeeping, mooring operations, maintenance and safety procedures. He also assists with engineering tasks, tender driving, guest operations and general upkeep of the vessel, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations onboard.

Sail and Work Experience
Bertille has been actively working in the yachting industry since 2021, transitioning from a long career as an optician. She has served as chef, hostess, and deckhand across various charters and vessels, including CNB 76 and HANSE 588 in the Mediterranean, as well as on board a Lagoon 560 and a Lagoon 460 in the Caribbean. Over the years she has gained valuable experience in meal preparation and service as well as boat maintenance. She notably participated in the Juris’cup regatta aboard a Swan 65, serving 11 crew members. Bertille demonstrates adaptability and enthusiasm, making her a valued member of any crew.
Job Description
Bertille is responsible for all culinary and interior operations on board. She creates diverse, fresh, and seasonal menus tailored to guest preferences and dietary requirements, manages provisioning, and ensures the galley is run efficiently and hygienically. In addition to her culinary role, she maintains the cleanliness and presentation of the interior, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction. Her cuisine reflects her creativity, professionalism, and love for quality ingredients, while her attention to detail and warm hospitality enhance the overall guest experience.
