Jack was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. He grew up on the water fishing and sailing with his family every chance he had. Jack pursued his passion while starting his career in Clearwater Harbour on tour boats and quickly transitioned into yacht charters throughout the Caribbean, East Coast USA and the Mediterranean. Today he holds a 200 ton USCG credential, with over 10 years experience behind the helm. His love for the sea, and of sailing, goes beyond the surface and he looks forward to showing you just how beautiful the ocean really is. Being a certified PADI Scuba Diving instructor as well, Jack is always excited to show his guests what critters and corals roam the waters of the British Virgin Islands in what he calls, an “underwater safari”. The BVIs are home to many beautiful little secrets and Jack is loves to show and teach his guests about them all.

Tanya grew up in a coastal area in Maine where she graduated from university with a degree in Finance, but later followed her passion for travel, cooking, and the sea. Subsequently, this brought her career in a new direction of yachting. An accomplished sailor in her own right, Tanya has sailed over 18,000 nautical miles, including Florida to Turkey, the Caribbean to Colombia, and many other offshore passages.
Undoubtedly, she is a creative chef with a broad culinary repertoire and a calm personality. She offers a well-developed genuine passion for food and the highest level of service. She is also a proven, capable leader (on land and sea), providing an immaculate galley, a positive can-do attitude, and an outstanding work ethic.
Tanya specializes in Italian, Mediterranean, and French cuisine but can also create fusion seafood and vegan and gluten-free menus. Client satisfaction is her main priority, ensuring a memorable experience for the guests.

Shelley Black was born and raised in California. She fell in love with the ocean at a young age and would often sail to Catalina island with her family. After studying art and graphic design in college she started working on a private yacht in Mexico. Exploring all around Baja California deepened her desire to travel and for the last four years she has been working as a deck/ stew on several different yachts. Having been on deck, she excels in water sports and enjoys free diving. Shelley loves to curate personalized experiences for her guests, from specialty cocktails to table decor and theme parties. She’s ready to create new and exciting experiences this season in the Virgin Islands.
To the best captain and crew on the water, thank you for the trip of a lifetime! We are going home with full hearts and stomachs and well rested yet somehow exhausted. This crew gets a 5 star review from our family and Tanya gets a Michelin star. We will never forget this week, thank you!!

What a magnificent way to see the BVI. The boat adventures were impressive with room for 10 adults and all the water toys you could need. But the best by far was the crew. Their teamwork was exceptional, and the skills in which they performed their respective tasks. From Captain Jack taking us to the best spots, Tanya making the most delicious and unique dishes and Shelley with her service at the bar, cleaning the rooms and mermaid water skills. We felt like royalty.

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole week aboard Justified Horizons for turning 50! But we think you’re crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. What we found is that each one of us, in our moment, is a Pirate Daphne, a turtle, a failed Baywatch run, a Pirate Bluey, and that collectively our days are far better spent together. We are incredibly blessed and so grateful to have spent this 50th celebration week with you, surrounded by your TLC, this gorgeous boat, absolutely beautifully presented fantastic meals, an off the charts beach lunch set up, never ending RBV’s, multiple daily sparkies, awesome theme night décor and each of your great individual wit. Thank you for absolutely everything. You guys truly rocked it!!
When I wrote our descriptions before the trip, I told you that you were going to love us. I hope as we disembark that you actually do, and that from here forward sparkies, Carl Wockner, and late night upper deck Seventh Heaven disco parties will always hold a special place in your hearts.

I cannot express what a great week we have had…in large part to our AMAZING crew! To name a few top moments - our “living room” aka the truth pad, the game of the night, snorkeling, Shawn and Donnie “surfing”, night swimming, sea bobbing, drink of the day, and dancing to Kimmers wedding song. WOW. What a perfect week! The food was delicious and the variety amazing. We could not pick a favorite because every day it got better. The first night pizza was over the top! Ryan, you aim to please everyone all of the time. Your patience and cool professional demeanor is exactly what every crew needs. Thank you for the best drinks every day! We love the fact that you became one of us. We are grateful that you put out the truth pad, the sea bobs, the e-foil, and boards daily. We feel blessed to have found the BEST OF THE BEST in the BVI’s to the USVI’s. We will be friends for life. Lastly, thank you for the first perfect dive!
